Velocity is a PPO network used by regional employer plans and administrators for provider access. We are in it, and we see members age 16 and older at our Southlake office.

Keeping your provider through a plan change

This is the situation that comes up most with network access plans, so it is worth addressing directly.

Bring the new card as soon as you have it. Do not wait for your next appointment. We can check the new plan before coverage even starts, which gives you time to plan if the answer is no.

Expect your deductible to reset. A mid-year plan change usually restarts it, which changes what you owe even if nothing else changed. That surprises people more than the network question does.

Your record stays with us either way. Your medical history, medication list and care plan belong to you. Insurance decides who pays, not who holds your chart.
